• Enquiry data: Information submitted through contact forms or WhatsApp that does not lead to an engagement is retained for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted.
• Client matter files: Personal information relating to an active client engagement is retained for the duration of the matter and for a period of 7 years thereafter, in accordance with our professional record-keeping obligations under Zimbabwe law.
• Newsletter subscriptions: Email addresses and subscription preferences are retained until you unsubscribe, after which they are deleted within 30 days.
• Website analytics data: Anonymised analytics data is retained in accordance with the data retention settings of the relevant analytics platform (typically 26 months for Google Analytics).

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

• Right to rectification: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

International Transfers of Personal Data

Nova Migration is based in Zimbabwe and primarily processes personal data within Zimbabwe. However, some of the third-party tools we use — including WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) and Google Analytics — may process data outside Zimbabwe, including in the United States and other jurisdictions.

Where we transfer personal data outside Zimbabwe, we take appropriate steps to ensure that your information receives a level of protection that is consistent with Zimbabwe's Data Protection Act and this Privacy Policy. These steps may include relying on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through this website. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 13 and we will take prompt steps to delete it.

Please note that in the context of family immigration matters, we may process information about dependent children as part of a permit application at the request of and with the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
